I’ve been running a Blog for a while ago and I’m wishing I had known then what I know now. The issue in beginning the process of starting a Blog and figuring out how to get started is that there isn’t an easy to follow guide that is straightforward and simple English which is why I’ve made this guide to help you. It’s not perfect , but it’s built on my own experiences about blogging and earning money from my blog in the last couple of months, and I’m certain there are many areas for improvement and you can use this as an outline. An information base is better than none even if you have to begin with your feet planted on the ground. This guide can be used for those who just want to start a blog but aren’t interested in earning money, or if you’re looking to blog and earn money without any extra work. Sounds like a good deal, OK! The first section of this guide begins with the registration of a domain name, and If you’re already familiar with this then you are able to skip it and begin with Section 2. Note that a complete updated version of this article that includes more links is available on the Blog located under the Resources Section.
(Optional) Section 1. Registering a Domain For Your Blog
The first thing you have to do is register an appropriate Domain Name for your Blog. I suggest that you make use of a COM domain, and attempt to find the most simple name you can think of that is free of numbers or dashes. There are many names that are all taken, therefore, think of a simple phrase or something that is memorable, and you’ll likely discover something that is available within several hours. I wouldn’t recommend using an org, net, or. regardless of the name is because people are prone to forget everything other than com. If you choose to use net, the it is likely that people will use an COM in place and you’ll be giving another website free traffic, and losing your own. If you locate an Com which you can sign up to host your website, suggest going to register it with Godaddy, which is incredibly cheap. If you don’t want anyone else to be aware that you are the owner of the domain, which means the removal of your name, number, address and email address, it’ll cost you an additional $10 per year or less for private Registration. I’d suggest taking this step to safeguard your privacy. The contact information that you provide them with must be in line with your credit card and financial details. After you have registered, make sure to keep the copy of the Godaddy Password numbers in a secure and secure location. It is likely that you will need the space to host your blog site and blogging software, which will be discussed in later chapters. Don’t sign up to Godaddy Hosting if you want to go with the company I suggest for everything, including hosting.
Section 2. AdSense
Google AdSense is the easiest to earn money that you can earn in your lifetime and it is free for you, if you want to use AdSense. If you don’t want to make extra money through AdSense and you don’t want to post it on your blog it’s up to you. The small Google ads and occasionally larger images displayed on websites are AdSense. The method by which AdSense operates is that you sign up for a free account for the program, and you can unsubscribe at anytime you wish and then Google places these ads on your blog or website. All someone must click on an ad on your blog , and you’ll be paid anything from one cent to perhaps 10 or more dollars per click. I typically get around 20 cents, which can increase when I get 40 clicks per day or more. The amount you are paid is contingent on a range of factors for which you need to be aware of AdSense policies and rules. AdSense will pay you when you’ve reached the $100 mark and then you begin again. I’ve earned several hundred dollars in just a few months, which is quite good for nothing! Simply put, the more traffic your blog receives and the more clicks you receive and the more money you earn. Google is very strict about the legitimacy of clicks and if they find that you in violation of their rules and they decide to remove you from their site permanently, without a chance to reinstate you Seriously! It is essential to go through their policies and rules a few times before you can use AdSense. The most important thing to remember is to not click on your own ads and don’t let your friends or relatives do the same. Also, don’t ask anyone to click on the ads that appear on your blog, or else you’ll be removed from AdSense. The best option is to put ads on your website and not say anything. Also, make sure to read their policies on what they accept AdSense on. The software that I used for my blog already included AdSense in the program. My blog is listed in the Resources Section.
I’ll be referring to and providing you with a contact address for in Section 4. The majority of other blogs, as according to me need to manually insert the AdSense Codes on the page. The WordPress Blog software I use does not require this.
Section 3. E-Commerce on Your Blog
I’m using a program known as The Easy Store that’s a part of my blog or vice Versa. It’s called the Easy Store basically lets you create a niche store that sells any or all of Amazon’s products . For all items purchased, you earn an average of 4-6% in general. This is paid directly from Amazon. It’s not free. Easy Store isn’t free but it could cost you to have them create logos for you at a cost of $200. Without a logo , it’s likely to cost around $120. The software isn’t difficult and the Software that comes with the Blog software is installed for no cost through Zeus Design who will go through everything with you and will be there for assistance with technical issues. My Gifts Shop in Resources is an Easy Store.
Section 4. Getting the Blog (WordPress) Software and AdSense, E-Commerce and Hosting If You Wish
As I mentioned before I use Zeus Design to do everything for me, and I am extremely satisfied with the work that they’ve accomplished for me. This isn’t intended to be an infomercial , but rather my unintentional, non-compensated recommendation of a company that I am extremely satisfied with, who do outstanding, quick, reliable, high-quality work and is pleasant to work with. You are welcome to work with any other company, I’ll only share what I have worked with and you are welcome to work with them. If you are interested in an identical WordPress Blog setup like mine, with AdSense installed, and an Easy Store as part of the hosting and Blog I suggest you get in touch with Zeus Design.
My opinion is that the price is reasonable and affordable. As I mentioned you are free to browse through various businesses.
Section 5. Once You Have Your Blog Online
Here are a few things I’ve learned about if you’re looking to improve your traffic. Keep in mind that this won’t happen overnight.
1. Always include a photo or an illustration on all of your blogs. I made the error of not doing this in the first few months , and it was a huge mistake that cost me dearly. Make sure to utilize whenever you can something that will grab someone’s attention in a positive way. I spent $30 on software that allows me to merge two images into one picture that I can’t live without my blog, Picture Merge Genius.
2. Make sure that the title of your blog as intriguing and captivating as you can by using key words that are important to your readers.
3. Write as often as you can about the latest, exciting and innovative things , ideas and people who are in the news and on the minds of people around the world in contrast to the things that you have experienced in your own life except for the fact that it is applicable to everybody else. I check the news on the internet every day about 10 times to find anything relevant. The Internet is your primary source of news. For instance, I came across an image of Sara Palin expecting her first child 20 years ago. I posted it alongside an image of her expecting Trig and turned it into an individual blog with my thoughts on the whole situation and got around 15,000 people reading it. Of course, I had a lucky break, but it beats the number of readers who write about my favourite HDTV Model! It could take several months to learn this up. Remember that while you and your family might be enthralled by your personal stories and your personal philosophy the majority of people couldn’t not care more.
